Identification and History Its full name was 21 cm Kanone 12 in Eisenbahnlafette (21 cm K 12 (E)), meaning "21 cm gun on a railway." It was designed by the Krupp company and produced between 1938 and 1940. Only two were ever built. It was used by the German Army (Heer) during World War II to bombard the British coast from the Pas-de-Calais, occupied France.
